Rustic gold and green Christmas decorations

This was my Christmas decorations for 2014 and 2015. I was using the rustic green and gold color theme. I used lots of burlap items, pine cones, and my all time favorite - birds on my Christmas tree. I mostly use natural theme ornaments such as pine cones, acorns, flowers, snow flakes, birds and bird houses. These ornaments are collected from various stores, mostly from after Christmas sale. Otherwise I would have gone broke just after one year! LOL

I love these big burlap poinsettia. I believe I got them and those round pine cones from Pier 1 Import, my favorite ornament store.

These rustic wooden ornaments were from Crate and Barrel. I was in New Jersey for Christmas and grabbed a few during the after holiday sale. We don't have this store in New Orleans. :(

I got these big burlap flowers from Kirkland. They always have cute ornaments and their sale price is great!

The wreath was from Front Gate. I still have to learn how to decorate it and make it really luxury and festive! I found two burlap stockings and was not able to find any more, so I made two using burlap I bought from Michael's. It matches the French Country deco in my house.

I found adding the black cord is too challenging, so I gave up. LOL

I just love these two banana leaf cone! I paired them with the two iron bird candle holder and love how they turned out. They look like a fairy tale scene to me! These cones are from Target (as far as I can remember)

Every year I would use a pair of deer somewhere.

I was not able to find gold tone candles so I just used gold wrapping paper and some ribbons and upgraded my ugly candles:
