I always wanted to do a white color theme Christmas decoration but was not able to find enough white ornaments. This year I hit a jack pot! I found some gorgeous white poinsettia at Tuesday morning, and some white snow feather stars and glass balls from big lot. As I already put up some gold ornaments, so I did a white and gold theme this year of 2016. I really loved how it turned out!
I did some research on how to shoot a perfect lighted Christmas tree and here is the settings I used: ISO 1600, aperture f/2.8, shutter speed 1/30.

I even asked my son to be my model. LOL
I like this corner as the glass window and doors reflect the lights.
Aren't these glass balls with white feather really cute?! It also goes with my all time favorite birds ornaments.
The feather like star is from big lot and the scale like ball was from Pier 1.
Putting two ornaments together will give a surprising result!

I found these cute snowmen at Marshall's.
Oh, these cute birds are also from Big Lot.
I was not able to find a big tree skirt for my new 9' tree, so I just used some gold ribbons and added two layers of trim to the original 54" tree.
I had a collection of Christmas villages. I used to put them on the window sills but this year the big tree pretty much blocked the windows so I put them in a glass display shelf. It turned out to be really nice:
I also tried the glass container Christmas villages. They are super fun!
